Endorsing non-vaginal sex now, are we? The Pope is very disappointed.

You said it, not me. All I said is that you don't have to have sex in order to have a healthy and fulfilling relationship. Why am I not surprised to see that you have more imagination than Flubber?Endorsing non-vaginal sex now, are we? The Pope is very disappointed.

Most of my family is in Canada. So 'substantial and ongoing interests' is not my choice.YOU MORON... You having "substantial and ongoing interests" is YOUR CHOICE.
Well, that and the fact that I like my job and I like living in a state that has no income tax, as opposed to a province that is increasing them. You're correct, I could choose to live in a jurisdiction (Singapore), that doesn't have them. That doesn't make me unAmerican for arguing that income taxation is contrary to the best interests of the American people, and citing other Americans who say the exact same thing, and citing your own history which argues this to be the case. You can pick up and go someplace that doesn't have income tax. NOTHING IS STOPPING YOU but YOUR OWN CHOICE to stay.
Well, that's just your opinion, man.But your continued rants that it's the same as slavery is simply silly and stupid.
I'm not exactly sure why Ming cares about whether I'm getting some or not. Am I supposed to take this in stride or be very creeped out?Heck, your sex life would probably improve if you did pick real slavery...Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

Ben, read Romans 13.5-7:
5 Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience.6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing.7 Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.
As such, speaking of tax payment as slavery is absurd. It's ordained by God.
Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.-Isaiah 41:10
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made - Psalms 139.14a

Render unto Caesar. Yeah, that's a good argument. Economically though, I think there are better ways to do so than through income taxes. I'm not opposed to taxation in general, and the biblical example involves tolls. As such, speaking of tax payment as slavery is absurd. They don't count that, or other things beyond your control.
They count ties like owning property, working for Canadian companies, and bank or brokerage accounts.
There are accountants and lawyers who help people sever the ties that require income reporting and paying taxes to the Government of Canada.(\__/)

But yes it is YOUR CHOICE... It's your choice to live some where where taxes are the LAW! There is NOTHING stopping you from leaving except your CHOICE TO STAY,Originally posted by Ben Kenobi View PostMost of my family is in Canada. So 'substantial and ongoing interests' is not my choice.
You have the FREEDOM to choose... unlike slaves. It would be easier for you to pick up and leave then some slave trying to escape. Nobody is going to hunt you down and return you to the state, unlike a slave. So your whole meaningless and incorrect opinion that taxes and slavery are the same because it's easier for a slave to escape is pure BS.
Gee, you like your job and where you live... sounds like FREEDOM to me. Do you think Slaves liked picking cotton and living in hovels?Well, that and the fact that I like my job and I like living in a state that has no income tax, as opposed to a province that is increasing them. You're correct, I could choose to live in a jurisdiction (Singapore), that doesn't have them. That doesn't make me unAmerican for arguing that income taxation is contrary to the best interests of the American people, and citing other Americans who say the exact same thing, and citing your own history which argues this to be the case.
Sounds like taxes are far better than slavery... and that the two aren't even close in comparison.
Again, many people don't like taxes, and some might join you in the discussion that they are contrary to your best interests, but to argue it's the same as slavery.... you ****ing moron.
Yep... just an opinion that probably more than 99% of smart people would agree with it. While mostly morons would agree with yours.Well, that's just your opinion, man.
So answer the question.... Would you prefer your life with taxes to that of a slave picking cotton?
Do you really want to claim that they are the same...Keep on Civin'

Well I haven't divested myself of all my property or bank accounts. I'd have to divest my share to the rest of my family, and I'm not willing to do that just yet. They don't count that, or other things beyond your control.
Yeah, and I have some Canadian clients which I'm thankful to have. I'm just trying to cover all my bases right now, rather then end up owing money to either. My case isn't cut and dried yet. I'd rather keep working for my Canuck clients than pass up the work and not deal with the Canadian government. They count ties like owning property, working for Canadian companies, and bank or brokerage accounts.
Well, I have an uncle that is an accountant. I should probably talk to him at some point about the family stuff so that I'm no longer paying Canadian taxes too. Thanks for your advice. I know it seems silly from where you sit to be dealing with both, but those are the circumstances that I find myself in.There are accountants and lawyers who help people sever the ties that require income reporting and paying taxes to the Government of Canada.

Are you sure? You don't appear to be that discriminating in your posts.

Oh sure, that and not having a visa to travel and enter to Singapore. But yeah, the only barrier is me.There is NOTHING stopping you from leaving except your CHOICE TO STAY,
Well, I'd question whether that is so, given what it would entail to actually enter Singapore. It's not exactly an easy thing to do.It would be easier for you to pick up and leave then some slave trying to escape.
And unlike a slave, there isn't a place where I can get to that will take care of me when I get there - like in the underground railroad. I suppose it's easier to smuggle yourself across a state line than it is to smuggle yourself across a continent.Nobody is going to hunt you down and return you to the state, unlike a slave.
See, what you aren't getting, Ming, is that it's no different than forcing someone to work for you than it is to pay income taxes.Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.
