The bit about me not f*cking Mr Amaechi et al. was in reply to your (predictable) remark. A relevant reply in that respect.

As for the frequency with whch you show off your semi-naked body in a forum largely populated by gay and heterosexual males and your frequent expressions of hope of joining a branch of the American armed forces notorious for its gay component (and your lack of success with women thus far) I'd say they were slightly relevant (in a psycho-sexual context) but mostly just amusing on a Sunday afternoon.

In terms of African American literature written by or about lesbians or gay men, I'm reasonably sure I've read more than you. Certainly sure I've heard more music by African American LGBT people.

Remind me- weren't you the one who didn't even know how voguing was dance activity begun by gay African Americans ? And where is it you live again ?

In an American city with a fairly substantial population of African Americans. That's mildly ironic, to say the least.

Go read any collection of works by the writers of the Harlem Renaissance and 'A Spectacle In Color: The Lesbian And Gay Subculture Of Jazz Age Harlem' by Eric Garber.

It's a fascinating account of a significant event in the development of African American culture, the Jazz Age and interracial relations in the U.S., and an aspect of the era often overlooked by more 'mainstream' histories.

What a truly stupid remark. The music is by or about the flourishing lesbian and gay African American community in the early part of the 20th Century- it's interesting how many works on the history of the blues and jazz whilst chronicling the various different genres (country blues, prison blues, bebop, West Coast jazz. et cetera) rarely even mention that one of the better known writers and performers of early blue sand jazz, Alberta Hunter, was a lesbian and that other blues artists such as Ma Rainey and Bessie Smith had lesbian affairs.

You put up a facade of intelligence, molly bloom, but you're effectively a spambot.
          Ah. That's so quaint.

Weren't you the one who supposedly had read 'Othello', claimed it wasn't about race, and yet had failed to notice that all the main characters, including Othello, comment on the colour of his skin, his ethnicity and his culture ?

You so funny, make me laugh long tiiiiime.

Funny how you completely misremember our Othello discussion. Funny how you keep talking about gay Black people making music. Funny how you keep trying to change the topic as an attempt to back-track.

I'm done. I definitely see what others have said about you. You change the discussion to something you know about (or can google) and then try to overwhelm someone with esoteric information that's not even pertinent. That **** may work among imbeciles but not with me. I'm not going to humor you any longer.

                  no

Religion is generally understood to be protected through precedent and "activist" Supreme Court decisions.

Is the First Amendment precedent or an activist judge?
