I guess your way to respond to this is just, "ZOMFG! Gay Black people exist so you must be wrong! Here's some music!"

You put up a facade of intelligence, molly bloom, but you're effectively a spambot.

One of the reasons I think black people tend to be more homophobic is that our heterosexuality has already been treated as queer by a dominant society.
      That doesn't even make sense.

I think some Christians focus so much on homosexuality because they can say 'well, I have affairs and cheat and so on, but at least I don't have gay sex!'

I would bet those Christian groups who are against affairs and promiscuity but have a high incidence of them have a higher level of public denunciation of homosexual sex.

Cornel West discussed the taboo-ization of Black sexuality in a chapter entitled "Black Sexuality: The Taboo Subject" of his book Race Matters.

Consider the racist images of 'predatory Black men' that had been prevalent in American culture.

Sorry if I don't see the connection with homophobia. It probably has more to do with those superstitious buildings they go to on Sundays.

There are also Black nationalists who believe homosexuality is a White colonial imposition on Blacks and Africans and that Blacks can not be 'naturally' homosexual.

It's all a lot more simple than you think. I forgot about the thread you made, so I created one on the same topic.

Yeah, this one guy whom I befriended while living out near Washington DC happened to have been black. When he started talking about gay bars, I was like, "Wait! I know we initially chatted on gay.com but you're saying that you're black AND gay!?"

                    You're such a douche bag.

Gay outrage about the majority of Blacks supporting California's Proposition 8 speaks for itself.

Pointing out the hypocrisy of a group of voters on a civil rights issue is not being prejudicial against a whole race.

Hypocrisy? They might argue that it is not a sin to be Black, but it is a sin to be homosexual. They might argue being Black is not a choice, but being gay is. There's a lot of arguments, wrong as they may be, that people could make where it wouldn't exactly be hypocrisy.

Religion is a choice. Should we legalize discrimination and oppression of religious groups whom we disagree with, because damn it, they can choose to belong to OUR religion instead of that other religion.
