I think its great for anyone who wants to to be in the primaries. Santorum certainly will NOT get my vote however.

I am for many choices for the people to choose from representing the whole spectrum of political views.

How is "center-left" a "clear left winger"? Bill Clinton's administration was considered "center-left" (though a lot of far lefties like to call him center-right, but whatev).

That is not what I said. I would submit that the people on the extreme try to characterize themselves as moderates. Obama saying "center-left" , to me anyway, is an acknowlegement that he is pretty leftist (by American standards anyway).

              Just my opinion...

That's ridiculous - all of the extreme wackos running in the Republican primaries have called themselves "conservative" (while, say, Olympia Snowe called herself a moderate - is she an extreme?).

& by all accounts, Obama has been ridiculously moderate.

While it isn't prescription, I wouldn't exactly call it freely available, either.

No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

No. I actually don't think she's a whore. Just a moocher with poor money management skills.

You know how many GOP supporters self describe themselves as moderate now? 23%. That tells you everything you need tto now about the modern GOP.

You said the mere fact he was in the primary was to quote scary as ****. This statement doesn't answer the question of why his mere participation in an electoral contest frightens you so. I would further submit that you don't actually know the meaning of the word psychopath.

My guess is that Santorum being competitive is what he finds scary.

Bingo. Anyone can run, but he should have been out in the earliest stages after sensible Americans turned away from him in droves. Instead he's an actual contender and that is appalling. He wants a theocracy and doesn't even try and hide that.

Yes you did, you called him a "clear left winger" in post #35.
