I'm sure the "floor cleaner" is absolutely safe in the quantities consumed, Wezil.

      Chicken is not poisonous.

      "Chickens are poisonous", though.

That's strange because when I cook the mechanically separated chicken from the supermarket, it comes out brown. Looks a lot like ground beef. It is made from dark meat, after all.

          is this real life?

I understand English is a second language to Oncle Boris as it is for BlackCat, but this is looking like it's going to go down the rabbithole of absurdity like when BlackCat said we all didn't know the definition of 'ditto'.

What Oncle Boris should be trying to say is that this processed chicken has unhealthy (poisonous, to use the term) additives (ammonium hydroxide, etc.) added to the chicken. The chicken meat itself is fine but he questions the safety of the other stuff. That's what he SHOULD be saying.

Not chicken is poisonous or about to say some bizarre **** like a live chicken is different from cooked chicken.

Not done in other countries and they've stopped doing it (finally) in the US.

              Why?

I'm pretty sure that cyanide's toxicity has nothing to do with whether it's been added or whether it's naturally occurring instead

Of course not, but saying naturally occurring cyanide is the same as adding in floor cleaner is disingenuous.

For example, it is (or was, I don't know if they've discontinued the practice since I was in junior high and was told all of the anti-cigarette scare stories) common practice to add cyanide to cigarettes. However, it typically wasn't the cyanide that killed people, so who cares.

Was the "floor cleaner" added to food causing people's livers to fail or something? Because otherwise "ewww, floor cleaner!" falls in the same category as "ewww, ground chicken hearts!"

                      Yes. It's added in.

Anyway, the FDA saying it's safe should not be taken as gospel. The FDA has been wrong on multiple occasions.

Didn't you know, loinburger? Natural things are good for you. Artificial things are bad for you.

Of course it causes liver failure. Didn't you see Oncle Boris' post about how we spend 15% of our GDP on healthcare?

How the toxin gets in the food is irrelevant to Lori.

Probably because ignorant consumers are terrified of science sounding words. Ammonium hydroxide was used as an anti-microbial, and probably saved many lives.

I'm sure he'd take exception to his wife poisoning his food or something along those lines, but McDonalds/Mother Nature putting poison in food is rather more impersonal
