For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

        • But wait! Isn't Donald Trump just waiting in the wings to steal the spotlight and take the nomination?

            • Well we know the real Herman Cain is suggesting Allen West but who's the VP pick really going to be?

Rob Portman? Marco Rubio? Paul Ryan? Bob McDonnell? Tim Pawlenty? Chris Christie?

              • Probably not Paul Ryan. My money is on Rubio.

Marco Rubio has been publicly saying no. VP picks usually play hard to get but it doesn't look all that likely.

I'm going with Rob Portman but I worry that would be too boring of a selection.

                      • Of course he's going to publicly say no. Everyone does that. If Mitt Romney actually goes to him and says "we need you," well, there's a reason he's been carefully managing his public image much more than your average junior senator.

                        • Judging by Ryans statement on the VP slot, it sounds like he's a definite possibility.

Obama must be laughing his ass off at the prospect.

I seriously doubt that. Ryan is someone everyone has to take very, very seriously. Regardless, he's not a VP type of person. He can do a lot more good as chairman of the House Budget Committee. He may even find himself promoted to Appropriations, which would give him wide authority on trimming the deficit.

Paul Ryan is one of those few intellectually honest people and produces actual solutions, which is why he's the target of so much demagoguery. He's such an easy target.

                                It's really a shame.
