Six murders in Philadelphia first day of the year

The girlfriend wasn't a navy pilot (her brother and ex were though). That's not unusual given the number of military bases here. Despite everything it's still very much a military town.

Edit: It looks like a fourth person died. The brother's room mate was only wounded last night but when the estranged husband/boyfriend busted in on the brother's house (he and the girlfriend were living together but she moved out to live with her brother after filing a domestic violence complaint against him) he shot all three of them then blew his own brains out. Apparently the Navy removed him from flight status and was considering a dishonorable discharge because of the domestic violence charge so the guy just went over the edge.

It was two pilots but supposedly one of the pilots was dating the other's sister or something like that. If the stupid speculation on the local TV news and comments on the newspaper's articles are to be believed the two pilots worked together, one of the pilots was dating the other's sister (they were living together), she claimed he was abusive and filed a police case against him (moving out to live with her brother), he then went unhinged and killed the ex-girlfriend as well as the brother & roommate then offed himself. It's ****ed up **** all around.

Last month they had another military domestic murder-suicide case here with some Marine who had been on multiple combat tours to Iraq & Afghanistan, he got orders to go on another tour, his wife said she couldn't stand him never being home any more and wanted a divorce, so he snapped killing her then killing himself after a long stand off with the SWAT team. I honestly think PTSD had something to do with that case but that's just a hunch. The couple's infant child was home when the father killed his wife & then himself while the couple's elementary school aged child was at school. Talk about a ****ed up situation.

Why is googling coming up with nothing? I'm googleing San Diego Marine murder. November 8th, 2011, a Marine was killed by another Marine at Camp Pendleton.

Then I know from last year, there was an Arizona Marine who was killed by SWAT teams while his infant child was in the house.
