This is asisine. Anyone who kills has an agenda, unless it is an accident.Originally posted by BlackCat View PostDepends - if it was the result of a conspiracy, it could be called terrorism, but that would demand that the conspirators said it was them that did it. Since they haven't it was probably just a nutcase.“As a lifelong member of the Columbia Business School community, I adhere to the principles of truth, integrity, and respect. I will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do.”

Sure, you have been specific about what you think is terrorism, but that really doesn't matter if other people have an alternative interpretation and you are a minority.Originally posted by DaShi View PostNo, I've been quite specific in what acts constitute terrorism and what don't. The fact that you can't read doesn't change this. With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

And for all the people claiming to want a serious intellectual discussion who gripe about my definition of terrorism, have you asked me what I'm defining terrorism as? If the answer is no, then that's why you stupid.“As a lifelong member of the Columbia Business School community, I adhere to the principles of truth, integrity, and respect. That didn't stop me from pointing out the logical flaws in your definition.Originally posted by BlackCat View PostSure, you have been specific about what you think is terrorism, but that really doesn't matter if other people have an alternative interpretation and you are a minority.

It wasn't clever to begin with. If you're really so insecure about it, make a separate thread explain how great you think all your insults are. I'm sure that it will be well received.Originally posted by BlackCat View PostSorry, thoght that you wanted to tell me what your surname was.“As a lifelong member of the Columbia Business School community, I adhere to the principles of truth, integrity, and respect. Can we really say what is "OK" here? Certainly, as TMM says, "They can try." But, of course, there are consequences to them trying, just as the US would face consequences if they perform assassinations in Iran. The problem with terrorism is that it implies a moral stance (this is how the word is used toady). The receiver is not just a victim, but a horribly wronged victim, i.e. innocent bystanders. Now one might think that by applying terrorism to all forms of combat they are protecting all victims, but quite the contrary. Great pains have been taken to distinguish between enemy combatants and civilians, between valid and invalid targets all in an attempt to bring some sort of order to international conflict. But when we start blurring the line between them, then, no matter how horrible the act, civilians and other invalid targets now become just as valid as an armed hostile soldier.Originally posted by OneFootInTheGrave View Post
basically it's OK for Iranians/all other enemies of US to kill US engineers, politicians, etc... what's fair is fair...“As a lifelong member of the Columbia Business School community, I adhere to the principles of truth, integrity, and respect.
