  • It would be one thing if the children had mocked him as a false prophet or something along those lines. Instead, they mocked him for being bald, and were killed for it. Give me a ****ing break.

    • I'd still like to know what sins newborns can commit. Maybe crying during church services?

How do you feel about Uza (sp?) dying for touching the Ark?

Honestly, I think us Christians now should be treating God with a lot more reference (I include myself).

                • "As the ark was being transported, the oxen pulling the cart stumbled, and a Levite named Uzzah took hold of the ark. God’s anger burned against Uzzah and He struck him down and he died."

                  • Meaning what, that God killed somebody for accidentally touching the Ark? Or for trying to prevent the Ark from falling from the cart? Either justification is idiotic. If Uzzah was trying to steal the Ark then sure, kill him, whatever.

If the purpose of the story is to demonstrate that the Ark is Serious Business then it conveys that very well. If instead the purpose of the story is to demonstrate that God will kill people with little to no justification then it also conveys that very well. Were I still a Christian I know which interpretation I'd favor.

                    • Why did the oxen stumble? What was God doing while that was happening?

                      • They were not suppose to be using oxen in the first place.

That's another obvious lie, or troll, whatever you want to call it. You and Molly Bloom have decided that you don't have to be honest with me, and that you can both harrass me to no end.

I think it's both terribly immoral and downright stupid. It shows that you're wrong about your beliefs. Otherwise you wouldn't have to resort to this. If you were right you could be honest and present intelligent debate. Regardless it shows a severe lack of character on both of your parts.

At this point I'm putting you on ignore. It's probably your own wish, but I think you made a bad decision by resorting to what you did.

You are far too stupid to defend your own repugnant beliefs, and so whenever you're called out on them you resort to petty name-calling. Hack! Troll! Liar! How about you actually read the passage, you cretin? Y'know, where Elisha is called "baldhead", i.e., where, as I said, he was mocked for being bald? It would probably help you argue your case if you actually read the friggin bible.

                            • Out of curiosity, what percentage of the bible have you read? 5%? 3%? Not "how much have you read and understood," which is obviously zilch - just, how much of God's infallible word have you actually taken the time to read.

                              • Based on the subject's tragic spiral into absurdity over the course of this thread, I think it's safe to say that the OP has been answered in the affirmative.
