The state is saying they might look into the allegations that the then 19 year old woman had sex with the then 16 year old Bieber. If found to be true then she could be charged with statutory rape which is lame.

They have a Romeo & Juliet law where 16-18 year olds can have sex with each other but not people over 18. It's really rather ratarded. There are a ton of guys one the state's sex offender list because they were 19 and having sex with their 17 year old girlfriends. Just like there are guys who get on the list for urinating in public (like a drunk pissing in an ally way), college kids who streak as part of frat pranks, women who try to sunbath naked or even topless, and other such garbage. The problem is when we label such nonsexual things sex crimes or make crimes out of trival **** like 19 year olds with 17 year olds then we distract from the real problem of violent rapists or pedophiles. It's just completely retarded but it will keep happening because no politician wants to be labeled soft on sex crimes even though we're not really talking about real sex crimes.
