Not necessarily. They would only be subject to pre-existing conditions if they had a 63 day break in coverage. However, much more likely for that to happen at 22 than at 26.

I thought it was at 18. I'm pretty sure that's when I got dropped from my parents' coverage. (It's been a while I guess...)

Kids? Other than the fact they should you know actually have jobs of their own by the age we're discussing, what kids do you see being effected by kicking them off their parents policy at 22?

in today's society, the majority of people do not have jobs that provide health insurance/etc at 22

many people haven't even finished their college at 22

I'm curious, did you have a job with good health insurance at 22?

Wal-Mart provided health insurance plans to those employees willing to pay for it.

                    • Considering that more and more people are going to graduate school in order to get decent jobs these days, it makes sense to raise the limit to 26.

                      • You don't ****ing need grad school to get a good job. If we should be trending anywhere, it's towards less education. We send way more people to college than we need to, for instance, anyone who gets a degree in art or english.

My boy who got a degree in English is a Marketing Manager at Ubisoft, an opportunity that wouldn't have been available if he hadn't gotten a degree at all.

Also, your idea is what? Only people in sciences should go to college and everyone else should just take whatever menial job comes along?
