Did anyone call you lazy? I think they're implying you were really lucky and had rich parents.

It's your naivete that gives away your spoiled background. It's plainly obvious.

"Three summer jobs" does not imply spoon fed. "Parents pay for everything" implies spoon fed.

"Woe is me, I'm forced to receive free health insurance from my parents "

"Health insurance should not be provided for free, only lazy plebians would think that! Why yes, my health insurance is provided for free, what of it?"

It's incredible how this discussion has gone completely off the rails from the economics of government healthcare to my personal financial situation, as if that has any bearing on the actual logic of public healthcare. I think this is more a case of loin and Asher trying to play up my background instead of actually defend their favored policy and honestly debate its merits.

It's because you made ridiculously unsubstantiated statements and they are making fun of you for it.

You make broad assumptions about the thought processes of people with who you disdain and who you have probably never met (y'know, all of those filthy plebes with their magical thinking) - I'm pointing out that you're full of ****.

If we're having an honest debate -- where have I mentioned your background at all in this thread?

If you don't want people bringing up your background, maybe you shouldn't have opinions that are completely formulated by your background where nobody faces hardship because of life and death choices.

Is there a minimum stupidity requirement in order for someone to handle your genitalia? Are you ripping on your girlfriend?

I don't think Herman Cain is stupid at all, actually. He's incredibly politically naive, sure. (Not naive in the life sense, naive in the novice politician sense)

This isn't the first time he ran for office. He must be a slow learner.

The last time he ran for office was in the 90s, right? And it was a senate race. He's a complete novice compared to people like Mitt Romney and Rick Perry.

This is just factually incorrect. The Affordable Care Act ALLOWS parents to keep their kids on their health insurance until they are 26. It mandates that the insurance companies provide said continuation if requested.

Further, the law does not require kids to have parents.

Exactly. It was your parent's choice to keep you on their health insurance and to pay for you. Maybe you should ask them to stop if you don't like that provision of the law that much?
