You have to remember that, for Republicans, individual responsibility is for other people, not persons with large amounts of cash.

Because he's HC and has been known to have mindbogglingly stupid opinions.

They're completely consistent Imran; Those with dollars should do whatever they feel for their progeny, those without should just let their kids suffer.

BTW, loving the facebook posts lately. They're pure gold.

Why did we need a law allowing parents to keep up the family's health insurance? Why would insurance companies risk angering parents by kicking their kids off the plan?

Makes no sense, young adults aint exactly in a group insurance companies shy away from...

I'm pretty sure parents would be turning down their work subsidized insurance by the droves if their kids couldn't be on it until they were 24.

Previously, insurance companies were not required to insure children over the age of 22 on the family insurance coverage -- so they didn't. (Re the "risk" of angering parents: not a problem, since it was standard practice by every insurance company in the U.S.) Not only did this create discontinuity in coverage for those with chronic conditions, it would in turn make them essentially uninsurable because, once they were off their parents' policy, they would have a "pre-existing" condition. Stupid and unfair. The Affordable Care Act addressed this. At least until the age of 26.

We should just make it 86. Just in case.

On the OP -- why is it that liberals destroy the economy when Canada's economy continues to hum along?

Seems to me it's not the liberals destroying the economy. In fact, it's well established that Canada weathered the economic conditions much better than most other countries precisely because of the more "liberal" policies in regulating the marketplace, among other things.
