Who the **** said it was impressive? THERE ARE HILLS. HILLS + SNOW + ICE is all you need to know.
You are the idiot that claimed Calgary was flat. VERY flat.

I was guiding you away from a Juke and this is the thanks I get?
Get your SO a Juke, ruin your lives, but don't come running to me crying.
I'm leaning towards the Rogue. The Juke is pending the test drive.

I spent a second trying to find YouTube vids of it but couldn't find anything good. But it's a very common occurrence.
Very frequently last year I had to get out of my car to help push some sad sack in a BMW because he couldn't even accelerate when the light turned green. A couple times I almost needed help too...and I've got expensive, highly rated winter tires.
The good winter tires make a huge difference-- personally I have a Toyota Tundra with 4 wheel drive
Oh and Calgary has hills-- I live on one west of the city and it can be interesting to see who makes it up the hill in the evening (HINT: all those folks with at all worn all-seasons-- don't)
But tehre are numerous hills of moderate pitch and length- They don't compare with the Hills in Newfoundland or Nova Scotia but they are a factor in vehicle choice-- Also __ i go into the mountains regularly to ski and an ability to get up those "hills" plays a part as well
You don't get to 300 losses without being a pretty exceptional goaltender.-- Ben Kenobi speaking of Roberto Luongo

It's a commuter car for a guy with (presumably) no kids. Pick a smaller SUV and save the money.
It's all about the Nissan Juke or (better) the Hyundai Tucson. The Tucson is among the most competitively-priced cars of any kind sold in North America, and Hyundai is fast approaching the Japanese companies in terms of reliability rep. Hyundai is too often lumped together with Kia, when it really shouldn't be.

This ought to be good. Please be kind enough to explain your reasoning.
Isuzu. Nuff said.
BMW 3-series. Compensation. Nuff said.

Naw, I needed a four wheel drive to actually take off road and at the time I needed it to be cheap so it worked. Honestly, it hasn't broken down or anything which is why I keep it around though I hardly drive it.
Apparently Nissan Quashqai is the Rogue. I don't know Euro-names. I have no idea what a Mitsus ASX is.
The Outlander is too large for me.
And Subaru is the only "real" AWD in the group, which is also why it's bottom of the pack in mileage. I don't need AWD on all the time, I need it when I have no traction.
They don't sell ASX in North America? It's a compact crossover SUV that doesn't look ugly.

To be fair, the dainty Europeans are the ones who didn't have the stones to emigrate to the wild new world. They're more inclined to drive bumper cars in well-paved, straight-lined streets than ever have a need for anything more utilitarian.
I wish! In England our streets are too narrow for cars, because they were built before people had them, they are bendy, filled with potholes... we really need an SUV just to deal with the pits and troughs in an average street, but anything bigger than a Fiat 500 and you'll never park it.
