Will New Yorkers listen and evacuate or will we have a Katrina north in lower Manhattan? My personal take is that you can tell New Yorkers just about anything but you can't make them listen so loads of them are going to ignore evacuation orders and then whine that the public utilities no longer work after the low laying areas flood. What's your take?
Philly is a ****hole, not a city. It's also not on the coast.
The hurricane will be affecting inland cities just as much.
No, it won't.
Philly will be getting as much rain and similar wind conditions as NYC.
It's the storm surge that was the potential threat to NYC, not the rain and wind, you provincial ****.
Close enough.
No.
Better check that. AFAIK Philadelphia is a coastal city, by virtue of the long estuary tucked up behind New Jersey. Philadelphia Naval Yard and all that.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

I suppose you're also going to use Chicago's Navy Pier as evidence that it's a coastal city.
This is it for the east coast. The earthquake to separate it and the hurricane to sink it into the ocean forever. I blame Obama.

"Capitalism ho!"
Philadelphia is a very large coastal city (ie. on the ocean or tidally-influenced rivers) located in the state of Pennsylvania. With a population of 1,540,351 people and 365 constituent neighborhoods, Philadelphia is the largest community in Pennsylvania.
It won't even be a strong Tropical storm by the time it gets to NYC.

Panic buying at the supermarket. Fresh-baked bread gone, only sliced bread remaining. The brands of hummus and beer I wanted were gone, so had to do with second choice. Dry-cleaner's closed. Only one Michelin starred restaurant open within a 5 minute walk, and it's a one star
Hopefully we in Zone B will be able to survive this. If not, it's been good knowing you.
