  • Will KH be dog paddling down lower Manhattan?

Will New Yorkers listen and evacuate or will we have a Katrina north in lower Manhattan? My personal take is that you can tell New Yorkers just about anything but you can't make them listen so loads of them are going to ignore evacuation orders and then whine that the public utilities no longer work after the low laying areas flood. What's your take?

I have no idea. Maybe they'll all wait it out in the upper levels of those skyscrapers.

A lot of New Yorkers don't even own cars because the cost of parking those cars can be $1000 or more a month in crowded Manhattan yet the Mayor has said all public transport will be shut down tomorrow at noon because the subway tunnels are expected to flood due to the storm surge. It will be interesting if everyone actually stock piles three days worth of food, water, and candles or if they try to wing it.

They're pussies from NYC so they don't have guns or ammo.

NYC will be fine. Irene didn't pan out as a serious threat.

You do realize there's other cities besides NYC on the East Coast, right?

Boston (the only other city on the East Coast) is going to be fine.

None that matter. Well, Boston is worth a **** and maybe D.C. but the rest...

                    DC isn't on the coast.

What makes Boston relevant? It's very small. Philly is the 5th largest city in the US. Boston is #22.

Philly also has a bigger economy, the 9th richest city in the world according to PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Boston is #12.

The hurricane will be affecting inland cities just as much.

Check the forecasted weather stats. Philly will be getting as much rain and similar wind conditions as NYC.

Bull****. I'm confident that San Diego County, which is one organized entity, has a much larger GDP then the **** hole you crawled out of.

Philly is a ****hole, not a city. It's also not on the coast.

                              No, it won't.

It's the storm surge that was the potential threat to NYC, not the rain and wind, you provincial ****.

                              Close enough.

                              No.
