To thine ownself be true. Being a man is actually very complicated and men don't always do what's right. I recommend you do whichever one you think will give you the least amount of regret. Hey, it's me not giving a ****. You think that all women want men for a serious relationship only - i.e. you are deeply deluded. Go be a white knight somewhere elseOriginally posted by MOBIUS View PostOK, apparently 'normal' in your society means ****ing around, being a macho **** and generally treating women like throwaway chattels good only as a notch on the bedpost.
As the kids say these days... Cool story, bro.Interesting. Maybe I am finally getting to the bottom of why your country treats the Pals like total and utter ****: They are literally your b*tches...
Pax:
I concur, fully. What does "being a man" mean this days is a very interesting subject - Lover, Protector, Friend, Leader. To the women in your life, to your friends, to your work partners, to your family. All are different facets of your own self.To thine ownself be true. Being a man is actually very complicated and men don't always do what's right. I recommend you do whichever one you think will give you the least amount of regret. I regret not cheating on my first wife.

That's ****ed up!

Hmm....
No, that's you, assuming that's what he has said. He currently regrets not cheating on his wife.
I think that he has reasons to do so, probably because she made him miserable, and he was not strong enough to confront her about the little things in a relationship that make you miserable.
Actually, as a recommendation for me, cheating was not even mentioned - there are many other options, such as leaving my girlfriend and playing the field.

Maybe. But it’s also you taking your father’s errant behaviour as a role model and the fact that you’re saying that everyone high-fives him and that you’re glad he did. Seems like I hit the nail on the head there!Originally posted by Az View PostHey, it's me not giving a ****. No, there’s plenty of women out there that aren’t looking for serious relationships, though probably in your country that’s mainly a coping mechanism to level the playing field in such a clearly chauvinistic society! Hey, aren’t you the one who once posted on here about getting used and abused by a woman who you’d actually fallen for and you didn’t like it!?
Whatever, fact of the matter is that the girl you’re with is looking for a serious relationship and you’re seriously considering ****ing it up.
And no, I’m not a white knight, far from it. But one thing I do draw the line at is cheating, though I have inadvertently sailed close to the wind a couple of times…
Seems to me you have massive insecurities to work through, just like your country.

So, because of his own cowardice, he wishes he compounded that by cheating on her!!??? How ****ing vindictive and small minded can you get...!!???Originally posted by Az View PostHe currently regrets not cheating on his wife.

No, I am glad he did for a much obvious reason, if he'd settled earlier, I would not have been born. Read again.Originally posted by MOBIUS View PostMaybe. I am not sure what you are saying here, except "Israel SUX". Coping mechanism? what are you saying here? No, there’s plenty of women out there that aren’t looking for serious relationships, though probably in your country that’s mainly a coping mechanism to level the playing field in such a clearly chauvinistic society! Wait, what? If I'd say to her that I have discovered that I am not ready for a serious relationship in this part of my life yet, is not me "****ing it up" - it's me being honest. I am not obliged to be in a relationship just because she wants me to, you know. good god, what the hell?Whatever, fact of the matter is that the girl you’re with is looking for a serious relationship and you’re seriously considering ****ing it up.
Funny stuff, so do I...And no, I’m not a white knight, far from it. But one thing I do draw the line at is cheating, though I have inadvertently sailed close to the wind a couple of times…
If anything, it is not my country, but my generation, as we are standing on the shoulders of giants - people who have built a great society on a barren land, and have vanquished our heathen foes.Seems to me you have massive insecurities to work through, just like your country.
But my dad has nothing to do with this, anyway - I was not born here, but in a land of the corrupted ideas of Marx.

Regretting that you didn't cheat on your wife seems absurd to me. If that is the case, why not just go to the logical conclusion and regret that you married her in the first place? The only answer seems to be revenge, which is of course petty.

At certain times I could have cheated but I did not because I wanted to make my marriage work. I tried very hard to make it work and I was faithful. In the end she cheated on me. I regret getting married and I regret that when A girl I was attracted to offered her self to me I decided to be what I thought of as STRONG(not cowardice) and remain faithful even though it turned out my wife did not have the same level of commitment.Originally posted by Aeson View PostRegretting that you didn't cheat on your wife seems absurd to me. I am not recommending cheating. I am recommending doing what is going to make you happiest in the long run whatever that may be. Life is filled with I wish I would have and I should haves. Some people cheat on their significant others and regret it. So for them that is the wrong answer. I just don't like the idea that faithfulness or doing what society expects is somehow tied to being a man. What can make a nigga wanna fight a whole night club/Figure that he ought to maybe be a pimp simply 'cause he don't like love/What can make a nigga wanna achy, break all rules/In a book when it took a lot to get you hooked up to this volume/

Mobius, I'm not sure which one you are saying is cowardice cheating or not cheating. As far as confrontation, there was a hell of a lot of confrontation. Also, one of the things that kept me in the relationship was my belief that being a MAN meant keeping your commitments. One of the lessons I learned was that being a man is more complicated than slogans and trying to keep others expectations. If I am happy with my choices and I know I did the best I could and what was best for me then **** what people think. What can make a nigga wanna fight a whole night club/Figure that he ought to maybe be a pimp simply 'cause he don't like love/What can make a nigga wanna achy, break all rules/In a book when it took a lot to get you hooked up to this volume/
