As for the police response, media says now the guy on the island had ca. 30 mins. before police teams arrived (pics show per boat, not sure if they used helis too). Also unclear if there was no other police available sooner or if they waited for some specific anti-terror unit (if you seen the pics those didn't look like "normal" police).
However, 30mins is quite much time for a guy (possibly) armed with automatic weapons on a very small island.BlahComment

The police did mess up.
This guy, on capture should have been discreted tortured for information then executed. After which it is simply reported that the police shot him in a firefight.
Now there will have to be a trial and all the nonsense that involves.Comment
