        Of course it is; "woll not" became "wonnot" became "won't". It's actually a great example of why it's wrong to assume that the derivation of a contraction must be based on the modern dictionary meaning of the term; assuming "won't" was derived from "will not" is just as wrong as assuming "ya'll" was derived from "you all".

        Therefore, "y'all" is acceptable.
