Of course that sentence was incorrect. It was so incorrect it approached absurdity, wouldn't you say?
You ****ing dumbass... absurdity because it's NOT what I'm saying is common American English! You just throw 'got' on it when 'have' is an auxiliary verb. I never said got is added onto 'have' contractions when have is an auxiliary. I only said it's added when have is a main verb.

In Sloww's post, "'ve" was used as an auxiliary, NOT a main verb.

You're too stupid to live sometimes, Alby.

Just explain to me this: How the **** does it make sense to add "got" to the "I've" contraction? The whole point of a contraction is abbreviation. It's completely nonsensical to require additional words to validate the contraction. Contractions came to be as a way to write what informally occurred in conversations: the merging of many common words. They're supposed to be drop-in replacements for the words they replace, in abbreviated forms.

Why the arbitrary rule about using I've when have is the main verb? What is the rationale?

          It's American English.

So you have no grammatical justification, then. That's what I thought. "Y'all got your own style".

Since when was it American English? Look at how many Americans have voted 'yes' in the poll...

They're wrong. I've cited numerous sources that say otherwise. Maybe they're not necessarily the most legitimate sources but a quick google shows you there's plenty of people out there who are convinced it is improper (or at least, not common usage) to contract 'have' except in the auxiliary case.

Find me sources that say it's common usage to contract when have is a main verb.

Your numerous sources on American English are a wikipedia comment without citation (one you keep adding yourself to the page) and an Australian ESL teacher?

"Common usage" does not make something correct or incorrect.

Is "Y'all" proper English, Alby? It's common enough.

Y'all is very clearly a part of Southern English.

I'm so glad you can spell "y'all" correctly. It really irritates me when some idiot ca'nt even spell a contraction.

                                Shame on all of y'all.

Y'all is a colloquialism. Not proper English.
