Asher, be honest, how good is your people skills in a management setting? I'd personally shun going down the management route and stick techie but that is just the way I am, but I strongly suspect you are similar in inclination...although not all of my job is techie and now I am a frelancer so I couldn't give a sh*t about career progression with the money I am on.Speaking of Erith:
