    Ok, I'll restate it...

Mubarak steps down, army takes over and puts Suleiman in his place, people not happy with that, lots of blood...
Within weeks they'll be re-opening the shipyards
And notifying the next of kin
    Once again...

Why are you advocating for that? [/Moby]

I don't think it'll be anything like that. Where has Egyptomeini taken exile?

            • He said he would deligate some power to the VP but he didn't specifically say he was stepping down or did I miss that part?

              • His plan is still to stay until the next election in September. Let's wait and see how well that goes over.

You heard right. Not what the people wanted to hear though...

                  • Unbelievable.

I am truly surprised at the patience of the Egyptian people but you must wonder how much longer they will accommodate these BS tactics. Mubarak laments the damage done to his country over the last few weeks but seems unable to grasp that he is the root source of it.

                    • i don't think that this will improve the mood of the protesters or the striking workers. the pressure is only going to get more intense, lets see what happens tomorrow after friday prayers once the protesters have had time to digest this news.

That's because you're a moron who has consistently proved you haven't a blind clue about what's going on in Egypt and have constantly embarrassed yourself as a result.

Furthermore, when people disagree with you in a perfectly civil manner, you stick your fingers in your ears and insult them like a petulant child.

Strangely enough, I am not surprised by this outcome.

                            • The best thing for Egypt now (after Mubarraks speech) is for a "soft" military coup. The other alternatives are a disaster.

                              • I actually think you're right. The thing is, they do seem to be behind Mubarak and Sulieman - unless Mubarak didn't read the right 'script' tonight...

Of course, it's not necessarily the right thing for democracy...
