I am truly surprised at the patience of the Egyptian people but you must wonder how much longer they will accommodate these BS tactics. Mubarak laments the damage done to his country over the last few weeks but seems unable to grasp that he is the root source of it.

i don't think that this will improve the mood of the protesters or the striking workers. the pressure is only going to get more intense, lets see what happens tomorrow after friday prayers once the protesters have had time to digest this news.

The best thing for Egypt now (after Mubarraks speech) is for a "soft" military coup. The other alternatives are a disaster.
