              That would be an almost meaningless "step in". If the tap is turned off sure as **** sales would end and American contractors wouldn't be permitted to maintain Egyptian equipment. The Saudis can't maintain their equipment, or operate it, to save their life. They sure as **** won't be able to do so for the Egyptians.


              But it looks like I was right anyway. The Egyptian General Staff decided the risk of loss of foreign aid was too great and invite Hosni to leave. Now they get to be responsible stewards of the state.
