The Egyptian economy is beginning to buckle. It's the high tourist season yet all the tourist attractions are closed, all the shops & restaurants dealing in the tourist trade are empty, the ports are closed so since Egypt imports most of its food food prices are shooting up, and everyone from taxi drivers to government office workers are not working. Some dumbass came up with the idea of Mubarak retiring for "health reasons" and moving to a German hospital to wait out the storm. And some of our domestic politclowns are (at least so it is reported) seriously considering this
