The latest poll (2010) shows Americans are 46% pro-life, 45% pro-choice. For the first time ever (it is trending towards pro-life as your country continues its spiral into the abyss).
Every other poll shows more pro-choice:
2009: 48% pro-choice, 45% pro-life
2008: 51% pro-choice, 43% pro-life

According to this post, only 23% want to ban abortions. That does not help your point?"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

So 75% think Abortion should be legal. That's the majority by any definition.Jon Miller: MikeH speaks the truth

Your ORIGINAL POST before the DanS was:
There is just no way that the majority of Americans are pro-choice.
After you saw you were wrong, you added the completely-different second qualifier..."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

Still, the point stands that 62% do not like the current system and Asher wants to extend abortions to the full-term, something which AT LEAST 62% of Americans would be opposed to."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

I don't form my beliefs based on what is likely to happen in the USA."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

Second para: Our rules, which I broadly support, are pretty much EXACTLY THE SAME as the laws in the US. In what way is what I think any different from the majority of Americans or from your laws?"Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

America is a nation of ****ed up priorities.
Income disparity is massive, which leads to higher crime rates. But corporate tax is low and keeps getting lower!
People are dying because of lack of access to health care. Instead that money is being spent on killing people on the other side of the world.
The murder rate, especially with firearms, is high. But damned if you take away my right to take a concealed handgun with a 31-round clip into a church or school."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
