  • I'm not sure what that has to do with the rising price of milk in China, but okay.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

      • I'm not imagining anything. I just know I am not the only one.

Argue over the extent if you want but I would think the fact former business is going elsewhere shouldn't be something to cause excitement on your part. I presume you aren't in a border state?

        • Speaking of boycotts, I've read that the boycott of Arizona by many celebrities & people has cost the state $140M so far.

            • So "a little bad" is okay?

How badly can someone else bleed before you give a damn?

Why can you not ****ing read?

I'm not boycotting the US nor have I ever said anything remotely of the sort.

If I was boycotting American companies, I sure as **** would not have worked for Lehman Brothers or Pfizer or Washington Mutual.

While I work for a public Canadian company now, it's majority owned by Americans. Including big American companies like Intel.

                • I'm not even boycotting US companies, I just won't travel there anymore (Sloww's original admonition).

                  I have several US clients.

                    • I used to cross it all the time when I flew between NYC and Toronto regularly for work. Haven't been back there since 2008, when my job last required me to.

                          • I used to cross frequently pre-9/11 but with less frequency since. My last trip was to Lake Placid, NY in 2004 for a friends wedding.

I'm sadly disappointed in how the country has changed over the years. IMHO they are on an ugly and nasty slide.

Making them illegal would just create another huge group of criminals, because people aren't going to give them up, and black market will flourish. That's so much better, isn't it?
