Inferior music? Like really? How much have you even heard? What makes it inferior?

I could call heavy metal punk rock **** inferior because it's always so angry and angsty, they don't have any singing ability and just scream, there are loud distorted guitars that sound like harpies screeching, and they have a lot of satanic imagery just trying to shock people and make them go on murdering rampages or slit their wrists... plus all the bands have drug problems or suicide problems.

I could call techno inferior because, besides it spawning Lady Gaga, is just a ****ing beat that goes on for ****ing forever with no lyrics sounding like the music you would see in a $9.99 video game on xbox live. Like that's ****ing background music.

But I would be wrong for saying that because had I said that stuff, while a lot of it is true in a lot of cases, I'm being close-minded and using my limited experiences with those genres of music to devalue an entire artistic movement. Right? I'd be wrong, right?

yeah it's really quite shocking some of the stuff he comes out with. i let most of it go, because i think it's just part of his general ignorance. but when he then goes and accuses others of being racist, without them saying anything that might be construed as racist, it's really a bit much.

gribbler you're a young lad, and i think you need to listen to a lot more music. your taste will develop as you get exposed to more stuff you can't dismiss entire genres, rap, heavy metal, free jazz, techno, whatever. well i suppose you can, but you're the one missing out.
