Oh sorry, I forgot the old herd mentality card, playing on one of the most basic instincts of humans. Oh well in that case, I was wrong and you were right

I have not been made to hear the same voices in my head that a schizophrenic experiences. Does this mean that I am wrong?

And Jesus was a historical distortion. Why should I love him? That would be gay.

No, you accept what others tell you. You accept the bible, written by men an eternity ago. Don't twist the argument.

Come on Kidicious - internal and external forces? I reason my way through arguments, and being of a scientific background I think I am in a good position to make these assessments, especially with my background in molecular biology which gives me a pretty good understanding of Darwinian evolution in exquisite detail. You are in no position to tell me what is right and wrong when you don't have the same background and knowledge. To do so would be extremely arrogant and naive.

But seriously, you don't honestly believe the horsesh*t you spout do you?

What are you talking about 'herd mentality?' I've clearly stated how I believe. Again, I love Jesus, and because I do he reveals the truth to me. Where do you get 'herd mentality?' It's just the opposite. In fact, 'herd mentality' is a better way to describe how you believe. Since you do not love Jesus he has not made the truth known to you and you believe what others have told you is the truth out of dispear (not doubt).

I have not been made to hear the same voices in my head that a schizophrenic experiences. Does this mean that I am wrong?
If that is the voice of God, indeed you are wrong.

So you are saying that there are absolute truths and you use human reason to get to them, otherwise there are external and internal forces involved? If so how does your human reason get to absolute truths, and how do you avoid error?

            • I don't think you can refer to Kid's version of Christianity as "herd mentality". It seems to be distinct .

Well this was referring to the fact that he sees other people of his ilk who have also been "enlightened", so therefore he must be right.

I think I will address this lot in a few moments, but Kiddy, you used to have some common sense...where did this biblethumping nonsense come from?

My purpose was not to give evidence that I'm right. It was to give evidence that I can explain what I believe (to others who understand it).

For one I abandoned common sense long ago. IMO, common sense is for the herd.

It's better to know your limitations than to think you can do things that you aren't capable of. Understanding comes from God. Only he can make you understand.

                            • Kid, do I need to explain what I was saying in those posts or do you get it? Seriously, I'm not sure you get it and I'll happily explain it to you, if you need me to.

I'm looking for someone who either doesn't believe in God or doesn't believe in the incarnation to present a logical argument since every one of you is insisting that they are right because they have a logical argument.

On the other hand I am not claiming to be right on the basis of any human reasoning.

My question presented to PH (who promissed to answer and has not) again is, "So you are saying that there are absolute truths and you use human reason to get to them, otherwise there are external and internal forces involved? If so how does your human reason get to absolute truths, and how do you avoid error?"

Now if you're right let's see your argument. I expect one of three stances on the issue and I'm ready to respond to each one. What's the hold up?

As far as any point that you are trying to make, go ahead and try to make it. However, based on the nonsense that you normally post don't expect me to respond.
