There is a whole lot of information people demand from you when debating things like this and this isn't exactly my field of study, though people have commented that it must be (or that I'm obsessed with it). If I thought I made a bull**** statement that I couldn't back up I would just have kept my mouth shut, I wouldn't have posted anything and hoped the thread died. I've said I'll try to get it in a few days, if I don't find it don't have the time to find it I'm more than willing to quote my previous statement and post here that I concede the point and that I was wrong.

Hera isn't wrong. The Racism = Prejudice + Power mantra is well-traveled in Ethnic Studies circles and among Black Nationalists.

It was discussed in high school classes of mine as well as college courses (most notably African-American Philosophy [we had studies in race requirement at my school])

I've tried finding the particular course description that I recall talking a lot about this very subject but its been too long and don't recall the name of the uni or the prof, I'll try and work on my google-fu and get back to you on that in a few days.

The slides I refered to previously talked quite a bit about the "racism = power + prejudice" definition often employed by some critical race theorists. It then went on to state that Whites as a class hold so much more power over nonWhites that it is meaningless to speak of racism against Whites even when there is prejudice or hate against Whites.

The premise idea of "racism = power + prejudice" is however easy to look up in sociological papers available online and am surprised people haven't heard of it.

I think I have demonstrated in the above and later posts that "only whites can be racist" is a acceptable academic position held and promoted by many critical race theorists and considered a valid interpretation by certain public institutions. However I have clearly failed to find that course I spoke of and concede that particular point.

The "many critical race theorists" are choosing a different definition of racism from what people generally use, so when they claim "only whites can be racist" it means something else.

I don't think I've ever seen Albi win an argument before. Hera, how long did it take you to get over it? How did it happen in the first place? Did you leave Apolyton for a while to cope with it? I can't imagine losing an argument Albi. I'm wasn't even aware something like that was even possible till now. Unbelievable! This has completely turned my world upside down. I need to rethink life now.

But the "anti-racist" activists and other's I mentioned are the ones who use such a definition and are the ones who promote and argue for the diversity HC mentioned correct? I didn't say this was his definition, nor was I really arguing against him, I was however creating a caricature of the disingenuous professional race hustler.
