Is this a case where billion means something different to you Brits than normal people? Billion as in 10^9, right? If so, no, of course humans won't be around in that incredibly long time-frame. Life evolved from single cellular organisms to complex animals in a fraction of that time. How much do you think we will have changed?

The oldest evidence of life I can remember is in the Issua Greenstone in Greenland which is dated from 4.96 billion years ago and, I believe, the total age of the Earth is 5.15 billion years old and right now the sun is half way through it's life cycle so in ~5 billion years the solar system will die. So it is a good bet humans won't be around, at least on planet Earth, in 5 billion years since the solar system will be dead by then.

I don't think an all-male monosexual humanity would happen 'naturally' meaning with respect to... god, how would you describe it without causing confusion with the very unnaturalness of the whole thing? like a logical human adaptation arrived at because of something... I don't know.

Like an all-female society is easy to imagine because suppose Y chromosomes started being corrupted somehow and were no longer able to bring about male babies... then X chromosome sperm would be collected and preserved and used to fertilize female eggs when needed... all female species. Plus you could always take out female X chromosomes and pair them together when the sperm runs out (similar to your all-male system)

With an all-male... there's the plus that men with both X and Y are technically with the aide of technology, capable of producing both males and females... so why would they not also produce females and make the whole thing easier by having males and females again? Why would they keep doing the difficult thing and combining X and Y's in a lab when they could just make some women and use nature's lab?
