    The Pounding At 3:00 AM

    You live in a small house, 30 yards off a paved main county road. The nearest house is about 120 yards away, the nearest business, a half mile.

    You are in the basement, playing computer games, when you hear...something.

    You get up and go to the stairs, and that's when you realize it's a heavy, rapid, insistent pounding on the door. You creep up the stairs, and see a car you don't recognize in the driveway, a coupe with dull black paint and a missing back window.

    Everyone who knows you knows your phone numbers, or lives over a thousand miles away.

    The pounding on the door continues, but you cannot see who without being seen yourself.



    What do you do?

          Never heard that one. And of course I was referring to Definition 2.
          But yes, 1 is much better.

                Being in the country like that (instead of the city,) i would have already upgraded my sound system from a 500 Watt (what i have now) to a few thousand (the sub at least 1500, maybe even twins) and i would blast it at near full volume playing my most gangster, ghetto, murder rap i had to the point where i drown the noise of the door.

                Then it would be the mystery strangers turn to make the next move and hope (for his sake) he realized he just messed with a registered psychopath (with no ties) at the worst time possible that dreams of moments like this.
