Because, my friend, there were/are some people who supported the removal of a tyrannical government that treated its own citizens with disdain. There are also those in the intelligence community who have first hand knowledge of how things went down, why then went down, and where things went during the chaos that was the invasion. Do we doubt there were WMDs? Most people do. Does that mean they didn't/don't exist? Hardly. Justification for this? Iraq was a 21st century dictatorship that existed during the era of the Cold War, who's far northern neighbor had a government with hordes of WMDs that toppled over and left behind countless remnants with power and accessibility. There is always a possibility that weapons were there, we did serve them an ultimatum and the entire invasion was on the news....does everyone realize that Saddam watched the news? Maybe moved some stuff when he had the chance? Maybe some friends helped get stuff moved through the Generals before the military fell......see where the possibilities rest?
So of course we will never know the whos, whats, wheres, whys, or hows until maybe we are old and dying...kind of like how we are still discovering Nazi and Soviet secrets to this day. Never say never.
But yea, not everyone supported the war, but for those that did that "I told you so" just doesn't do anything.
