Yeah. That didn't pass here in the US. An American citizen can accept a title of nobility and retain citizenship. Also, lawyers are 'esquires' and judges and public office-holders are 'the honorable' (although that one might not be much of a nobility title).

I would also think that military officers being 'gentlemen' and 'sir' would be like a title of nobility conferred by the federal government.

When I was a wee lad, my dad used to have my magazines shipped to my name, with ", Esquire" at the end. Always got a kick out of it.

I should clarify. Foreign honours are forbidden.

We have our own, home grown versions. Ex PMs are always 'right honourable' or some such, and we have a nobility of merit in the Order of Canada with no official priviledge other than recognition for good citizenship and contribution to society (or some such).

                    Depends on the school.

In some areas, Canadian schools compete with the best internationally. The University of Waterloo in particular is up there in CS/engineering/theoretical physics. IIRC it's the #1 school for new hires at MS. Or at least it was back when MS was most relevant.

Of course it depends on the school. But the best schools are American schools.

                        Overall, better IIRC.

                        Up to HS, not college.

                            Depends on the field.

Most are American schools due to obscene amounts of money floating around in high society.

I don't think there's a singularly better CS school than Waterloo in the US.

What does Glass-Steagle have to do with MS?
