Can they be more than one page?

Also, **** word. I need to learn LaTEX at some point. Making this pretty is a huge pain even with styles. Argh. However, my dad is insisting that in the business world they don't care and I should use word anyway etc etc, basically, don't use LaTEX, use word. Is he wrong?

Finally, where's a damn renderer for windows I am not about to reboot into linux to work on this

Yes, they can be longer than a page as long as they're not full of crap.

No, I'm sending that in a special waterproof envelope. I might need to use a box though...

If your resume is more than one page you are a douche. The only people I know with long resumes do not call them resumes. They call them CVs

It's nice to have a "pretty" hard copy on good paper stock to hand out when at interviews or for friends to pass along.
But if you are submitting them online, it's best to use word so that most people can look at it the way you intended

Wouldn't pdfs be best then? Always consistent. And pdfs can be from latex or word. Which should I use?

Aren't you in high school? How could you have a long resume by now?

A lot of online submission doohickeys don't accept pdfs, and the ones that do prefer .doc (not .docx) so that they can parse them.

It's not really that long, just wordy descriptions of things. Education section is short. Prior jobs is short. Skills is relatively long, since I have a lot of those .

He's Kuci's brother, duh. It takes him that long to describe all his bathrooms.

I'd be happy to give you a hand though. Done this for quite a few people.

PDF's are fine if you have the software. If you are using PDF's, make it as nice looking as you can.

However, keep a word version only for those damn companies that don't allow attachments and simply ask you to cut and paste it in a text box.
