Mos Def is actually quite a fine actor. Check him out in 16 Blocks. Also a nice little part in The Italian Job. And he was a guest patient on House last year -- very good.

Hitchiker's Guide was just a generally abortive attempt at a movie. That doesn't (necessarily) make the entire cast bad actors.

I remember the House guest appearance also, and I was definitely considering that when including that I didn't care much for him.

I didn't find him very believable. What was his problem again, blind or something? Was just a bit too superficial or something.

Edit: I remember now...he was conscious and couldn't talk. The monologues were dreadful.

Actually, you didn't name any underrated actors. All of them are pretty much where they should be. Ving Rhames isn't an actor but is an action star.

i actaully made my list cus i saw rhames in gravity. he might not be hoffman but he deserve better roles then that ****.

As great as Snakes on a Plane was, I still don't think it captures the essence of awesomeness that is Samuel L Jackson.

Ok, comparing Ving Rhames to those two brilliant actors is where you fail here. Rhames was good in "Don King: Coming to America" on HBO, but Sylvester Stallone was good in "Rocky", because boxing is colorful. Rhames has played the same Marsellus Wallace character for 17 years. At least Michael Clarke Duncan has a fun side.

replace neeson whit rhames in the phantom menace and it would of been alot better.

He's a Oscar nominee and Golden Globe winner who is co-starring in one of the biggest blockbusters of the summer, Iron Man 2, who is set to play Miles Davis. What exactly are you talking about when you say "underrated"?
