Come on Ozzy. You objected to my characterization and then ran away. What did I get wrong?

What progress?
The only progress this will bring is more record attempts, with increasingly younger kids being hauled into the death zone. And I'm just not sociopathic enough to hang out the bunting for that. The genesis of the "evil Finn" concept- Evil, evil Finland

I think this could provide inspiration to others to overcome the challenges in their lives. I agree with trev that we have become jaded.
NB: I think the jury's still out regarding this particular climb.I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

I was thinking more along the lines of inspiring my nephew, who was about that age and had complications with a broken leg. He had to endure months of very painful rehab.I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

Too many people bothered with other peoples children.Originally posted by SlowwHand View PostYou could take that same viewpoint on absolutely anything.
"It's my kid. If I want to pimp him, that's my business".
"It's my kid. If I want to lock him in a closet until he's 18, that's my business."
See how it doesn't work?
Too many busybodies on this site.
At least they're not doing it for charity...those people really annoy me. Raising loads of money to blow it climbing a mountain instead of just donating their own money.
