To whoever asked the question: yes, there is a large one-time transfer from people who have previously saved to those with negative savings.

Why not simply multiply all nominal prices and wages by 1000 then? That should make you extra happy12-17-10 Mohamed Bouazizi NEVER FORGET

saving money means it doesn't get spent right away, but instead the spending is postponed, in other words "deferred consumption"
So if I earn some money, but decide to keep it until I die and pass it on to someone else, and they spend it, it is deferred consumption.
Some taxes are worse than others.
Maybe that's why we have a tax reform thread.I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Do you like beer Senator?

I'd prefer a high sales tax. At least I have some control over how much I end up paying in sales tax.
That's stupid. You have 100% control over how much income tax you pay.I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Do you like beer Senator?

Why would you earn money it if you didn't want it?
Edit:
I want people who don't already have everything they want to keep what they earn and still pay for federal spending of course.
Can anyone else figure out what he's trying to say? I can't actually tell what he means at all. Seems mutually exclusive.Last edited by Hauldren Collider; April 12, 2010, 12:55.If there is no sound in space, how come you can hear the lasers?
