      I only learned about this 2 decades or so ago myself.

      You can't remove parts of the Bible.
      There's a long history of doing this, both officially and unofficially.

                  Cool down Wezil, Kuci has just made a clear unmistakely statement that .... uhm, well, just proves .... wait, expresses the ... ok, I give up - can't really make any kind of sense of that statement.
                  With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

                          Okay, skipping over the douchebaggery, yeah, I heard about the JB some time ago. I hear that he was actually kind of sloppy about it too; supposedly he left in quotes of Jesus and bystanders referring to miracles excised from the text, so that substantial portions of it make no sense (to save our atheists the effort, "NO portions make any sense hyuk hyuk hyuk!").
