Now at least Canada cannot be worried about any failings in the preliminary round-- If Canada had kicked azz in the RR the only reward would have been an "easier' quarterfinal. Instead Canada had to play a qualifier and then play a tournament favorite.
Either way, Canada is in the semis and any opponent there would be tough no matter how you had gotten there.
