I blame the silly anachronism of celibate priesthood, personally. It isn't the Middle Ages anymore, priests aren't going to leave parishes to their bastards, you'd think they could give it up, but no...

I'm not going to give you a Morality 101 lecture.

It's not our fault that people like you choose to only focus on, or talk about negative things that some Christians do or say.

Countless other Christians have shown themselves to be inspiring examples of goodness and compassion for other people. Mother Teresa was one example. And there are people living today, who are living examples in answer to your challenge.

Yada yada yada... blah blah blah

Inpsiring examples of goodness and compassion you find in any religion. It sometimes is just part of human nature.

But tell me, how much suffering woud have been avoided if Mother Teresa would have just supported the use of e.g. preservatives in the slums of Mumbai?

Katholicism corrupted her more than it did her good.

I'm sorry Asher, I just don't understand. Your point has gone totally above my head.

Preservatives? Does the RCC forbid making food last longer or something? I thought that was more of a hippie thing.

You know damned well what he means.

Even the Scientologists in Haiti haven't been done for child abduction - clearly again they are less evil than the Catholics.

The thing that you give to small children telling them it's a balloon. Condom.

While I won't speculate on other actions, I'm more willing to believe stupidity over evil intent on this one.

Of course, religion is involved and they are not part of the clergy.

When a religion is concerned, it goes without saying that stupidity is involved.

Athough there may not have been evil intent, evil was certainly committed.

Just as well, or the kids would have been abducted and molested!
