  • What is The Interest Rate on Your Credit Card Debt?

Can you give me a figure so that we can compare? I pay 12%. 12% is also the
legal limit here, interest rates are prohibited from being higher.

This documentary prompted me to ask:
Investigating the massive consumer loan industry and what's ahead for banks and consumers...

The figures quoted for USA are absolutely fascinating. 30%? Wow. They say
that the credit card market was completely unregulated for a long time. It
follows from that that competition should have actually lowered the prices,
and that exorbitant figures are simply an example of market segmentation and
    price discrimination.

People with decent credit histories and jobs probably don't pay anything near
    20%, right?

So, what is your rate? BTW I know that you don't pay anything if you pay the
balance within 30 days, I want to know the rate that kicks in after that.

0; never carry any. Virtually anyone can open a Line of Credit, use that instead.

0%. I pay off in full each month.

For credit cards here, the credit history really only matters in respect of credit limit, rather than interest rate.

I have two cards 3% on one and 17% on the other.

I don't carry a balance on either so it never really matters.

I don't have credit card debt and I'm always on time with payments but the APR rate for my credit card is nearing 30%.

The only reasonable thing to do.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Thanks. I know that everyone here is affluent enough to pay in time , but
it's the figures I am after.

It's less a question of being affluent and more a matter of living within your means. It's also a matter of delaying payment on other debt so that it won't be turned into credit card debt - a hospital will usually bill you for the full amount before even contacting your insurance, and you can quickly run into trouble if you pay the bill rather than delaying payment until your insurance pays. And I'm pretty sure my two credit cards charge twenty percent.

0% Interest until next March. Then I will pay it all off in full. Got a few grand on it at the moment.

Like others I pay it each month. I don't even know what it is.
