Someone should really write a sociology paper about this forum. Or two papers. A doctorate? I wonder if we're simply repeating the usual patterns seen on forums or if there is something unique about this one?
I'm an adherent of the theory that says that the human brain evolved to be as complex as it is not because of predators and similar environmental challenges, but because human society is complex.
I used to think of soap operas as frivolous waste of time. Now I see them as an exercise in something that is the primary purpose of human mind: social interactions.
A couple of years ago I would have laughed at this thread and call you all self-obsessed crybabies. Who cares about your rivalries? Now I am not so sure. Now I think of all this as an expression of the processes that are the core of the human nature.
But today we know what human nature is. Should we succumb to it? Or should we overcome it? If we can and are to overcome it, what should we do?
