I didn't really read the 1st article thoroughly, but it appears as though the author is claiming as though:

1) Having your partner (in an open relationship?) have sex in the next room, and
2) Smoking weed

can somehow lead to pulmonary edema.

That sums it up rather well. The writer of the 1st article is a ****forbrains.

That's true. We don't know why he died, but we do know that he was gay and open about it. That's the difference between the two stories. If the other fellow had admitted to being a kiddy fiddler, or had been convicted of being one, by all means bring that up in the obituary. Had he chosen to deny the allegations that he was gay, then it would be wrong to accuse him of being gay in his obit. As it was, he chose to come out and reap the consequences and benefits.

This is the exact same situation that happened last week where you were up in arms against the author. The difference is the guy who died last week and who was slandered in the column was a Christian teacher, and the guy who died this week is a gay man.

The coroner already medically determined his cause of death as NATURAL.

If anything, this is WORSE because while the teacher was accused of soliciting sexual touching with a minor, he was never proven innocent. This guy was proven to have died from natural causes and the article still tries to fearmonger about the cause of his death being related to homosexuality.

The article was way out of line, and so are you.

The article asserted no such thing. It pretty much said that he was gay, had a wild life style, and suggested that this led to his death.

What everyone is complaining about is that this contradicts the coroner's report, which stated that the cause of death was natural.

I'm wondering, just an aside, if person's lifestyle has the effect of making a genetic condition worse, or trigger it, is that still what's considered natural causes? A heart condition, drinks too much, dead person.

Or, a soldier gets a bullet in his lungs, later gets your basic flu, and the reduced capacity of his lungs kills him. (Are deceases natural causes, anyway? If so, would dying from AIDS gotten from promiscuous lifestyle be natural cause, too?)
