For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio
All that link proves is that the right wing hate campaign did enough of a hatchet job on ACORN that the Census Bureau didn't want the headache any more. That doesn't make ACORN wrong about anything and it doesn't make the wing nuts any less retarded.
Yeah, once is bad, but twice starts to show a pattern.
Well done.
But I would still like to know how many times they tried.
Out of 100, 2 wouldn't seem so bad, but I doubt they tried that many times.
So would you agree the GOP should be outlawed based on two instances of vote fraud?
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...
This is funny. They did the same thing in New York.
I think we're well beyond gotchas.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

If the dems would be be outlawed in chicago, I'd agree with that.
A fresh start would be welcome.
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

Even if it's a dozen, they'll still defend it. IT's just an evil plot from the right,

To be honest the fact that they just didn't release all of the videos at once is kind of pissing me off. They're obvious not about just getting the truth out there, but to make a political statement out of it and keep it in the news long enough. So yeah, I actually believe the GOP strategists are involved here.
But 3 is a bit absurd. Reform ACORN's training policies, set firm rules for this, move on.
People who don't think this is a form of "evil plot" are being absurd. If it was just a good Samaritan trying to raise awareness, he'd have just released all he knew about it. Not travel the country stockpiling a bunch of videos then releasing them at strategic times. This is bigger than some fake pimp and his real-life ho.
"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
Ben Kenobi: "That means I'm doing something right. "

I don't think anyone here's talking about a "Samaritan" here. Looking at the creators what I see are a law student and an aspiring journalist trying to stir up manufactured controversy to make names for themselves, both to advance their careers and to stroke their egos with 15 minutes of fame. The pattern of releases would be consistent with those motives. While I see selfish motives and think they're by no means laudable public servants, that's not evidence of active concert with the GOP or any ancillary hit squad. If there is any such evidence, by all means show it to me.
Of course there's no direct evidence. But I hope I don't need to lecture you on the basics of Rove-ian politics in the past decade, do I?
We can't state for certain if the GOP is involved, but the good money is on it.

I'll be the first to agree that this suspiciously looks like a hatchet job.
But that doesn't mean there's not a problem here. Which many (not asher obviously) don't want to see.

Of course there is no evidence, which is why they win even if you're right. Even circumstantial evidence like these two having been in the College Republicans, being registered with the GOP, having written a right-leaning op-ed in college, attending certain conferences, etc. etc. etc. might take you beyond the realm of idle speculation, but after a week of opportunity for GOP hit squads' counterparts on the left to dig up any such thing, I'm still not seeing it.
Let's face it, any attention whore with an empty summer and some bucks could have pulled this off without the need for... whatever sort of guidance you assume GOP "strategists" would have tended to give had they known all about this. Hell, you or I could have pulled this off if we didn't have to work. What advice could strategists have offered that would have even been particularly useful, or not obvious to any thinking person? Frankly, it's so incredibly easy to do I'm surprised that it doesn't happen way more often to a variety of organizations.

The strategists are obvously involved in how to maximize the impact of the video.

The strategists are obvously involved in how to maximize the impact of the video.
But why? You think a trained journalist and postgrad-educated adult couldn't be smart enough to realize that stretching out the releases to post-date the target's response would both maximize the impact of the point being made and also prolong the attention-whore orgasm? Christ, a trained monkey could figure that out. It's not that GOP strategists wouldn't tend to be interested or that this duo wouldn't tend to take their advice, but rather that they don't need any advice on the best method to prolong the controversy. It's common sense.
