Frak me, she's more like Anne Heche than anything. She was part of the 宝塚歌劇団, which, if you may know, seems to have a rather large lesbian following...

When was flat Earth the common belief and when did it become not so?

I saw a UFO, I made a thread on it a while back. I bet they were going to abduct me, but saw I had a dog with me. Those aliens are such speciesists, it really pains me. Though, if I were abducted by aliens you'd all know because I would go all kungfu on their butts and take over the space ship, and after a quick zip around the galaxy would park it in a field outside of New Orleans and charge people $5 bucks to see it and $10 to go inside... and I'd probably have an alligator farm too, people like alligator farms.

Up until about 2500 years ago, flat Earth was the common belief. Then some smart Greek guys were like, no dudes, it's round.

How do you (or we) know that it was the common belief?

One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.

From what I can tell with the little bit of research I've done, it was the common belief of pre-Socratic philosophers. It's hard to know what the common populace thought, of course.

RE the OP, I have to quote Tim Siedell:

Japan's new first lady says aliens once took her to Venus. I'm just amazed aliens also call it Venus. Boy, we nailed that one.

No it wasn't...even the ancient Greeks postulated, and had evidence that the Earth was round. Eratosphenes even calculated the diameter. And the muslim world never fell for it.

You think that people were a lot more educated than they were.
