Some theorize that DARPA developed a prototype decades ago, and left it in cold storage in Chicago.

I've even heard some crazy folk who claim that it gained consciousness and roams the city, disguised as a mild-mannered middle aged man.
      John Brown did nothing wrong.

1: if you die from Alzheimer, how do you go to heaven ? I hope like you were before your mental capabilities started eroding
The same way you would normally. Impairment of consciousness is not the same as the separation of consciousness. It's still there, just the body doesn't work as well as it used to.

2: if a child dies before it has the abaility to speak (abstract thought), how does it go to heaven ?
Again, the development of consciousness is not the same as the separation of consciousness from the body.

Don't listen to Ben. It's quite possible for the soul to leave the body for hell before its body is dead. The soul would just be replaced by a demon. It used to happen all the time with popes.

There are plenty of records of people 'observing' surgeons etc at work on their body from outside of the body while on the operating table. Instead of dismissing it as a chemical reaction in the brain, or as dreams/visions/hullicinations or whatever, they should instead attempt to understand it. While difficult to understand facts are ignored or dismissed by science, a full understand of the human body and brain and consiousness is not possible. Recollections of people who have had these experiences on the operating table clearly indicate that they can observe without eyes, another thing science can investigate instead of dismissing, but as it goes against standard science theories, it is easier to dismiss and ignore the info than try to understand it.
There are indications from the Bible that the body limits some abilities of the human spirit, when freed from these limitations, the spirit will be able to enjoy and appreciate life so much more in heaven (of course those who go to the other place probably will not appreciate the freedom from these limitations in the same way)
However science will continue to appear foolish by dismissing relevant facts such as out of the body experiences and people who seek to understand life as it really is will continue to seek the truth from the Bible etc, since science cannot give it to them.

I don't know why you'd say that science has ignored/dismissed out-of-body experiences when there have been numerous scientific studies into out-of-body experiences.

Read my post again Trev. They DID TRY. They actually studied it rather than put their "faith" in the near death stories.

The problem is, what these people were seeing was not what was in the room. They were hallucinating.

Well, I'm pretty sure that rules out both Ming and Rah.

Sounds like the same old drudgery to me. If I go to Heaven, I don't want a meat-body, I want to be an energy being that is also an artificial intelligence that can control massive starships and MECHA OF DOOM.

If you manage to split the two, you won't go to heaven, and you won't have a soul anymore.
The "soul" hasn't exactly been proven to be anything other than a strange programming loop.
