Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
I started this Thread as a means of hearing how others felt about a significant change in UK law and yet you seem to be just determined to abuse anyone who disagrees with you.
The title of the thread is "Assisted Suicide", not "A Significant Change in UK Law." If you don't want people to argue about the moral basis of assisted suicide in your thread, don't ****ing call it "Assisted Suicide."
The case is British and it is UK law that has been altered by it but the issue is Assisted Suicide and as such not something that only concerns the citizens of my own country.
People suffer from horrible and incurable diseases throughout the World and important moral and ethical issues are raised by how this is dealt with. Free will or endure the pain until the end regardless of your own desires because somebody else has the power to make that decision for you.
This is not a merely a British issue just because this case happened to be heard in a British court!
Let's recap the arguments for people just joining the thread.
Drake Tungsten: If you want to kill yourself, go ahead, but don't asked a loved one to do it for you or make a public spectacle out of it. Also, specialized suicide clinics are creepy, wrong and complicit in murder.
NYE: You think I approve of murder because I approve of suicide clinics? Well, America has the death penalty and fights wars!
St Jon: How dare you discuss whether assisted suicide is right in a thread where I ask that very question!?
edit: Had to fix St Jon's name. I called him St. Leo at first because I have no idea who the **** he is.
KH FOR OWNER! ASHER FOR CEO!! GUYNEMER FOR OT MOD!!!
People who aren't morally bankrupt already know that they're all wrong, but some are more wrong than others. In order from most wrong to least wrong...
Premeditated killing of innocents (assisted suicide, death penalty for innocent men, shooting prisoners of war) > Accidental killing of innocents (Collateral damage in war) > Premeditated killing of non-innocents (guilty death row inmates) > Killing of non-innocents who have the ability to avoid being killed (enemy soldiers in combat)

Debbie is seriously sick and want to die. That can be fixed in Switzerland, legally, but she would, for obvious reasons, want to be with her husband.
Problem is that if the husband go with her and are at her side when she dies, he will face up to 14 years of prison on his return.
If I understand St Jon right, then he will not face this due to a new ruling.
Debbie could have made the journey several times on her own hand, so there was no need for the husband to attend - though, for obvious reasons, both wanted to participate in the journey.
Drake manged to prove he's an idiot.
Does this summarise the story ?
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

You've got the whole issue summed up perfectly. Right on all counts.
