  • That is so politically incorrect, I'm embarrassed to be rolling on the floor, laughing.

They need a revolution to figure that out?! Any Canadian could tell you that.

      • Question - Where do the Ayatollahs flee to if the revolution is successful?

I think he's refering to the fact other embassies in Iran have opened thier doors to wounded but the Canadians according to that guy have so far refused to do so. Not your personal feelings toward Harper.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

            • I've heard that the Iranian government has recruited militias made up of Arab turds to suppress the protestors. It's disgraceful, the government in Iran have no appreciation for true Persian civilization and people. If Mousavi ever gets into power, he should expel all Arabs in Iran.

              • Twitter is full of reports of Lebanese Hezbullah fighters, and possibly Palestinian faction members, who undergo rigorous training courses in IRCG installations. This is very hard to verify, but it is logical because these people would be very loyal to the government and not people, and Hezbullah fighters are documented to have participated in previous major clashes with students.

btw, Peres should stay shut. His praises of the protests are kiss of death.

                    The choices are numerous.
Syria, Iran's ally - but perhaps they wouldn't welcome them, because they would be afraid of the west, and don't like fundies.
Shia parts of Lebanon - they'd welcome them with open hands.
                    Southern Iraq
                    Bahrain?
                    Azerbaijan?

Most probably they would never flee, though.

I hope you're joking. You call for an ethnic cleansing in Khuzestan. the shores of Persian Gulf and in the inner parts of the big desert on the east?

                      • I noticed our gov is much more vocal in this than usual, Merkel explicitly demanding a complete recount now for example. Steinmeier (foreign min) cited the Iranian ambassador into his office shortly after the elections already. I hope it not merely positioning for our national elections in autumn since both are the main competitors then.

Our embassies are only for keeping Canadians away from home, not foreigners in. Mr. Harper's handiwork.

I repeat. We know we have a disgusting government. My personal feelings are irrelevant to the discussion.

                            • Seeing someone die in the street just kind of moved me. I guess I never saw someone die before. Although she was probably already dead at the beginning of the video. Nevertheless, I am moved. And it takes alot to move me on the internet these days. I'm so desensitized. I generally am not a big fan of vigils and memorials for people I don't know, but in this case I make the exception.

I have changed my avatar to reflect this. I hope the mods find this appropiate. I don't have a picture of this person in a living state. RIP Neda.

I haven't said much about this issue till now. I've actually supported Obama on this. It's not our affair. What I will say is I praise technology. I feel technology has lessened the violence. Who knows how much worse this would be without cell phone cameras and the like. I've said many bad things about islam. I suppose it still holds true. Iran has the capability of being such a better nation. Religion is holding them back so much. I praise the people who want to change their nation for the better.

RIP to all the dead, not just Neda.
