I didn't suggest that "we think we found some truth, and here it is" is paradigmatic of the pursuit of truth; I only think that it is less distant from the pursuit of truth than totally refraining from reporting something merely because the sources could be more credible. Under that logic, pretty much anything the U.S. government says should be taken off the front page, for instance. It's ridiculous. If source X has a credibility rating of 2 out of 10 and source Y has a credibility rating of 9 out of 10, then the reader should be smart enough not to take X at face value. Otherwise, **** that reader, he/she is getting no more accurate a picture than is deserved. You seem to assume all news consumers are children.
    Unbelievable!

You are saved by question mark from being cretin, I think.

No statement unless physically verifiable by science is incorrect. Yes? Perhaps you are superhuman to hand out this stamp to people. My congratulations to you.

Freedom through death. You argue this? Why not "arbeit macht frei"?

People do live in slavery. Maybe slavery is to not challenge idiot statements like yours.

Not hard to do when the photo had already appeared in the LA Times and was clearly an Ahmadenejad rally.

        • There were a couple hundred protesters in front of the White House today.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. My point is that in the natural process of the world, one group has always attempted to dominate other groups. The dominated can remain that way or fight for freedom. In either case, something is lost, and the freedom isn't free. Prices are paid.

If you want to continue your haughty remarks, I suggest you take on smaller game. You're trying to take on a grizzly bear with a pocket knife.

I make note your personal threat for what reason I do not know.

I note also that you display no understanding of what I had written.

              • He wasn't threatening you. He was saying that you have the pocket knife (rhetorically speaking) while he is the grizzly bear.

Judging from some of those YouTube videos, I would believe almost anything. The wounded girl laying there dying (or dead) was really quite troubling to me.
