it seems like i can't post much here other than i largely agree with everyone who has taken the survey.

you appointed JM and Loriazel moderators, whom everyone seems to respect. you're the site administrator; by and large you want to determine policy and let your mods enforce it as they see fit. if your mods don't agree with you on a particular point, listen to them because they may be on to something.

Look, all you really need is to have clearly defined rules (which don't stifle free debate) and enforce them consistently. Everything else about the OT can be handled by the OT community itself. Sure, we may act like a bunch of chimps throwing feces, but you know what, sometimes that's a lot of fun. Think of some of the most remembered events here. Just let us have fun.

You also might want to sticky a closed thread at the top of the OT for all first time ventures into the OT, so the timid know what to expect, and don't freak out and run away because of the DL dance, etc.
